You know you're on the right career path when you're excited to be writing a newsletter and planning a social media campaign on a rainy Saturday morning.
When attending business school I made an oath to myself, one that I shared with my policy professor and mentor of mine.
I promised that I would never work for or represent a company that I didn't believe in. I vowed to find work that was in alignment with my core purpose, that to the best of my ability would not damage others.
It's a big task.
But I've done exactly that.
Plenty of people told me that it's impossible. That I'm trying too hard. That I'm high-and-mighty. That I'm an entitled millennial. That I hold myself and others to an unrealistic expectation.
And I'll admit it- I do hold myself to incredibly high standards of performance, ethics and conduct.
Because why the fuck WOULDN'T I?
I believe I came to Earth to change how things are done. I believe that I CHOSE to come to Earth, to change how things are done. To be the Light to the best of my ability. To allow the Creator to Create THROUGH ME, to improve the way things are in this 3-Dimensional Realm of a planet.
So I've worked for yoga studios and small family businesses. I've worked for a global health food brand. I've worked as a nanny. I've worked as a dance teacher.
I've gotten to make a positive impact in all of those places.
The last 2 years, I've worked for myself. I teach yoga, meditation, essential oils, and Reiki. I manage a network marketing business with hundreds of customers, and I mentor my leaders to grow businesses that will support their family and community. I offer healing services to people who have lost loved ones, are going through major illnesses, or just super stressed about life in general.
It's a good life.
It's hard fucking work.
And I'm grateful to be working hard in a way that's making a difference.
I'm writing this because I see SO MANY BEAUTIFUL TALENTED PEOPLE out there who are NOT DOING THEIR PURPOSE.
YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
Please, reach out. It's my mission to help people get to where they need to be, to be living a life of purpose.
Maybe that's through yoga or essential oils, or maybe it's through something else entirely. I don't care. But I do care that you're happy, and feel like you're making the difference you are meant to make.
I'm inspired by my Facebook friends every single day. You all are SO FREAKIN AWESOME, and the funny thing is- I haven't even met so many of you. But I want to, I want to talk more, and I want to experience Life with you in it.
So keep smiling, keep hustling, keep learning, and keep connecting.
Lots of love on a rainy Saturday morning,
